Fifteen years ago, our founder,  a skating mom on a budget, discovered that buying a competition dress was a maze of guesswork and sky-high price tags. One “simple” dress cost $350 sight-unseen; a senior‐year design later topped $850. Worse, young athletes were forced to pick a size, color, and cut without ever trying on the dress. That frustration lit the flame that became Fireflies Performance Costumes. We set out to make elite-level dresses truly try-before-you-buy and priced for real families.
